Love Song

LOVE SONG 2021 celebrated 40 years since the release of the seminal Simple Minds album Sons & Fascination. It is an album that resonates with many of us 4 decades on and is one that Empires That Dance hold close to our hearts. To coincide with this anniversary ETD released Love Song in September 2021 and was our 6th single and we were extremely happy to be able to work once again with our great friend Gordy Goudie as producer. The artwork was created by another great friend Chris McCluskie and is indicative of the way Empires That Dance put their own thumb print on songs rather than make standard cover versions. You can now also buy Love Song t-shirts from our BandCamp page and they are available in a range of sizes are made to order so they are quite original. Without doubt Love Song certainly caught the attention of a wide audience and it was a thrill to make new friends with podcast and blog interviews in the Philippines and in the United States of America in addition to UK and European based media. Restrictions in place at the time of the recording also meant that we had to rethink what we would do for a video and a herculean effort by Martin Poschinger and John Provyn AKA Johnny B Good can be found on our YouTube page.
